DSE Rainbow Falls 5k

Good times with the DSE Runners! We had a break in the rain so I joined in the 5k fun at Golden Gate Park. My goal was to run comfortably hard and steady and not go out too fast. I wanted to try to do a progression, but there is a little bit of a hill there in the middle so it was varied. Once I could see the finish line I picked up the pace. I ended up finishing 21:18 5th place female behind a cute 10 yr. old girl & 1st AG. This was a good endurance session for the ORF 5k.

Run: 789 mi Swim: 56 mi Bike: 1,135 + Bike Commute: 2,600 = 3,735mi Total: 4,580 mi (a few more miles than last year!)  Add to that 75 hours of Fitness (HIIT), 13  hours of Spinning and 21 Hours of Weight Training. The strength training was just over the last two months. The periodized training for different events really worked well for me. Races & Events completed:
